SAT Testing – The SAT will be given on Wednesday, 10/11 for all Seniors who signed up to take it. All Seniors taking the SAT should have received an email from Mrs. Farr, the testing coordinator on Friday, 10/6. The email will include your testing ticket and the classroom location for the test.

CADY Underclass retake picture day – CADY will be on campus on Friday, 10/13 from 8:00 – 12:30 for underclassmen students that need to have their picture retaken or missed the original date. We will call down students during 1st block by hallway, and then any off-campus students needing their picture taken will need to report to the aux gym when they arrive on campus. ALL STUDENTS need to get pictures taken so we can update PowerSchool with these images.

Senior Portrait Information - Every senior must have their portrait taken. We use these images for the yearbook, at the graduation ceremony, for senior yard signs, and other graduation marketing (like the newspaper). It is very important that every senior has their formal senior portrait taken to be included in these materials.

CADY Photography is the TLH portrait photographer, and they have different sessions offered here at the school (in the auxiliary gym).

  • Senior Roadshow Studio Session
    • Dates available:  10/11/23, 10/19/23
    • There are different photo options available for this session, and a small sitting fee is charged.
    • If you are interested in signing up for a Senior Roadshow Studio Session, please sign up at www.cady.com and click on the SENIORS tab.
  • Senior Yearbook Only Portrait Session - Rescheduled
    • Date available:  11/8/23
    • This session offers only the formal senior portrait, and no sitting fee is charged.

Student and School Photo Request – TLH Yearbook is always looking for great photos, so please use this form to upload images that you think would be a good fit for the book. Especially with spirit week coming up, I wanted to make sure everyone had a way to send me photos.

  • Make sure to include the student or faculty name and/or event description to help us in sorting.
  • Please know that just because a picture is uploaded here it does not guarantee it will be included in the yearbook.
  • You may upload 1-5 photos per submission

Submit photos here:  https://forms.gle/gMCguQe5qSHTqwedA

Trick or Treat Lane/Candy Competition – It is time to get ready for Trick-or-Treat-Lane! This is our community trick-or-treating event. It will be held on Monday, October 23rd from 6:00-7:30 pm. This is a drive-through, and we will cut the line off at 7:30 pm. However, it will take us until 8:30 to finish.

Here are two ways to help:

  1. Candy Competition: Get your first block on board and excited. The class with the most pieces of candy wins a breakfast party. We will use this candy to help support the event.
  2. Sponsor a booth: Sign up on the spreadsheet below. It can be a club, sport, individual or department. All you need to do is pick a theme (Sports it could just be your jerseys- for example: Football puts up a tent and wears their football jersey), decorate a tailgate tent, dress up, and hand out candy. You will need to collect your own candy. Be prepared for 1500-2000 kids.  Please sign up this week!

Parking Lot Drainage Construction - Construction to fix the drainage issues in the front parking lot will begin Monday, 9/18. During construction, we will lose almost 100 parking spaces. The first two rows in the Senior Parking Lot (left side of TLH) and the first two rows in the Underclassmen Parking Lot (right side of TLH) will be fenced off and unavailable for student and faculty parking. Construction is scheduled to be completed on Friday, October 13.

I have asked all faculty, that normally park in the front parking lots to park in the back parking lot to make room for students that must park in the front. Some students who normally park in the Senior lot will need to park in the underclassmen lot while we are under construction.

We will be temporarily suspending the sale of new student parking passes. We are having to suspend the sale of new passes to make sure we do not issue more passes than we have spots available. As soon as the construction is complete we will resume selling parking passes.

I know this is not ideal timing to start a construction project. I appreciate everyone’s patience as we fix the drainage in the front parking lots.

Tardies to school: Parents, this is a reminder that being tardy to school does result in consequences for your student. Once a student reaches four tardies, the student will serve detention. You will be notified by email when this happens. Thank you for helping with this matter and ensuring your student has the best opportunity to succeed!

Senior Cap & Gown: Seniors should have their cap and gown ordered by October. Click this link to purchase the cap and gown for $40. If you do not order by October, the price goes up each month. Please email amandapinson@anderson5.net with any questions.

Students do not need to sign up in advance unless they need to ride the bus home. Tutoring is offered in all core subjects, and bus transportation is provided on Mondays and Thursdays. Students receiving tutoring are expected to stay the full hour. Testing students are dismissed every 20 minutes.

Student ID Badges – As part of our school district’s effort to provide a safe environment, all high school students and staff are required to wear photo ID badges (issued for the current school year). Students will be issued one free ID card upon initial enrollment to use at TL Hanna. Students are required to have their school ID in the school issued pouch and, on the school issued lanyard visible and properly worn around their neck at all times.

If an ID is lost, cracked, or defaced, a student must purchase a new ID in the front office. Each replacement ID badges costs $5.00.  Students who come to school without an ID badge will be sent directly to the office to get a new badge. The student will be charged for the new ID.

It is the student’s responsibility to display a school ID at all times while on campus.
