The T. L. Hanna Library Media Center

The mission of the library is to support the curriculum needs of the students and staff of T. L. Hanna High School and to encourage lifelong learning.

The T. L. Hanna Library Media Center houses over 12,000 volumes of books.  We currently subscribe to several magazines, and have several titles in reference materials and educational resources.  Also included are audiovisual and computer equipment. The TLH Library Media Center has collaborative space for student use. The library catalog, Internet, and many other programs can be retrieved from your Chromebook or device, and networked with other computers in the classrooms, offices, and labs throughout the school. Our catalog can be found on the Hanna web page, Departments,  then Library Media Center. Search by title, keyword and subject under the "Catalog" tab.  FollettShelf, which houses our Ebook collection, can also be found here and on the Hanna page as well.

Students may check out books for 2 weeks.  If the book is lost, the student will be charged the current cost of the book.  Supplemental English novels used in English classrooms do not have a due date. They should be returned when your class is finished with the novel.  If lost, English novels have a charge of $10 to replace the book.  Our magazines, reference books, and audiovisual materials are for library use only.

All students will be issued a Chromebook for the school year from the technology area of the media center at the start of the school year and return it at the end of the school year.  Please bring your Chromebook to us with any questions or problems during the year.  There is a full-time ITSA in the technology area of the library media center at all times.

The T. L. Hanna Library Media Center is staffed with one certified library media specialist, Mrs. Helen Bailey-Duncan, as well as our media clerk, Mrs. April Bolt.  Our ITSA, Mrs. Jamie Johnson, is also housed in our media center to assist staff and students with technology and Chromebooks.

The library is open from 7:40 AM until 4:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and from 7:40 AM until 3:40 PM on Tuesday and Friday.
